What to do two weeks before, the day before and at the airport — with weather, health and money alerts.
Two weeks before
- Check passport validity, confirm your visa and print a copy.
- Get required vaccinations and see your doctor if you have chronic conditions.
- Install Nusuk, register and add companions.
- Start walking daily to prepare for Tawaf and Sa'y.

The day before
- Pack your hand luggage: passport, visa, medicines, Ihram garments, charger.
- Use the travel checklist to confirm everything.
- Exchange some money into Saudi riyals and enable your card for international use.
At the airport
- Arrive 3 hours before international departures.
- Listen for the miqat announcement on board.
Key alerts
- Weather: Makkah exceeds 40°C in summer; carry an umbrella and water.
- Medicines: keep them in original packaging with a translated prescription.
- Money: avoid carrying large sums; ATMs are near both mosques.
- Fraud: don't deal with unlicensed offices or pages; verify any offer through official channels.
