The day before

• Exchange some money into Saudi riyals and enable your card for international use.

At the airport

• Arrive 3 hours before international departures.
• Listen for the miqat announcement on board.

Key alerts

• Weather: Makkah exceeds 40°C in summer; carry an umbrella and water.
• Medicines: keep them in original packaging with a translated prescription.
• Money: avoid carrying large sums; ATMs are near both mosques.
